Problem solver for all difficult substrates: This presevative-free, granulated primer provides better adhesion for follow-up coatings on interior and exterior surfaces. The biogenic binding agent Replebin®* guarantees a product with zero emission and high-grade product characteristics: overcoatable after 4-6 hours already, diffusion-open, little inclination to dripping and splashing.
This odour-free primer can be applied with a brush or roller and then recoated with all AURO wall paints and plasters. On interior surfaces, one primer coat is sufficient. Prime exterior surfaces twice and then overcoat with AURO High-grade lime paint no. 344. Can be tinted for interior application with AURO Full-shade tinting colours no. 330 (up to 10 %).

On interior surfaces, apply one coat, on exterior walls two coats. Apply evenly with a brush or roller, then coat the surface with the AURO plaster or wall paint of your choice.
The grip coat is available in a fine or granulated version. It depends on the desired surface structure if the fine or the granulated Grip coat is used.

Auro 505 Natural Grip Coat, Fine is a 100% natural, breathable primer designed for difficult surfaces that other primers can struggle with. Auro 505 offers incredible performance to rival any conventional product, but without the harsh chemical additives. Eco friendly and solvent free, this grip coat primer offers reliably dazzling results as both an interior or exterior primer. Thanks to its very fine granulation, and offers perfect adhesion for Auro paints.
This natural primer has zero emissions, and uses the natural, biogenetic binding agent Replebin to achieve high quality results with no harsh chemicals. Supplied as a bright white finish, Auro 505 can be tinted with Auro 330 tinting colours.
This natural primer can be overcoated in 4 to 6 hours, and it covers around 12 square metres per litre, making it incredibly economical despite its eco-friendly credentials.

We offer 2 types of tester pots on most products on all pages (in the drop down box) 1) ‘Colour Tester 100ml – (Standard colour matched pot for all Graphenstone paints)’ £4.99 per tester pot. We use our premium grafclean paint to offer sample pots in all colours we offer. The colour of this tester is exactly the same as the colour in the other paint ranges, which is why we offer it as a standard tester pot (as it’s cheaper as we can use this one paint for all colours). We mix this per order. 2) ‘Colour Tester 100ml – (In this specific paint to test texture or sheen)’ £7.80 per tester pot. For people who want to check the exact paint, we also offer a tester pot in the actual paint (for people who want to check texture / consistency) as the colour is exactly the same as the standard tester pot.
Large orders of big tubs will need to be sent on a pallet, so may be +1-2 working days. ECO PACKAGING: Testers use bio degradable corn starch infill packing pieces (these are only suited to testers and very light weight items though); on larger products we either use recycled/recyclable brown paper or we’re just starting to use pulped cardboard inserts for 2.5l and 5l tins - these are recycled and can either be recycled with household cardboard, composted or several people use them as firefighters! Add products to basket and click estimate shipping to see costs. All weekend orders are processed on Monday morning. We always advise trying a tester pot first. * Postal Surcharges: Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Highlands & Scottish Isles incur a surcharge.
